Concrete resurfacing products, concrete colours and concrete stamps and other decorative concrete supplies can instantly transform your new or existing concrete.
You can get a coloured decorative finish that closely resemble brick, rock, tile, stone or slate, producing a surface which is not only attractive but extremely hard wearing.
Firstly it is best to choose the concrete colours that you would like to use. For existing concrete I would recommend Ad-Tex T-5 Spray, manufactured here in Australia. Ad-Tex coloured coatings comes in 28 colours.
For stencilled concrete you can purchase a stencilled pattern or if you are creative you can design your own with adhesive for the authentic look of brick, tile, stone and much more.
Once you have the colour and the design you will need to prepare the concrete surface for treatment.
Concrete in a poor state of repair ie cracking or spalling should be repaired or replaced well in advance of coating. Oil, grease stains, paint or other types of surface contaminates should be removed before installation. Acid washing, de-greasing, sand blasting and grinding are some of the methods used to for concrete resurfacing.
When you are finished where ever possible finish the surface preparation by washing down the surface with a water blaster minimum 2000psi.
Primer
Once you have cleaned the surface , you must apply a coat of primer to the surface.
Other concreting tools you will need is a trowel or a sqeegee.
